What the first 30-60-90 days in the job will look like?
Within 30 days you will:
Attend and graduate from our company-wide on boarding process along with detailed orientation program where you will learn Jazz’s values, business, and products
Meet relevant stakeholders for devices team e.g. NOKIA, Adv Tech, sales channel, distributors
Develop understanding of JAZZ FIX/TXN Network Connectivity details.
Develop understanding of alarm reporting and work flows
Develop understanding of L1 access of NMS and network devices
Within 60 days, you will:
Establish good relationship with relevant stakeholders for alarms and circuit restoration
Recommend ways to improve devices business, product management, policies & network security
Recommend ways in consultation with relevant internal teams to share workload
Using analytical skills, develop region wise models to boost devices sales for data & smartphone penetration
Create network up/down time reports for management view.
- Within 90 days to onwards you will:
Manage and Core network i.e. Infrastructure protocols
Able to use RSVP for traffic engineering and static path selection
Ensure timely update on network incident via dashboards & reports
Master the tasks highlighted above as deliverables for first 60 days
A Bit About You
This position will be responsible for installation, configuration and monitoring of network communications equipment, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, software and other network equipment. Position requires a Professional level Certification (minimum) with at least 4-5 years’ experience with large IP network design, deployment and operation. In depth understanding of IP networking, traffic engineering, routing protocols and IP network QoS techniques
A Bit About Us
A network operations center (NOC) is a place from which administrators supervise, monitor and maintain a telecommunications network. We as provider typically have a network operations center, a room containing visualizations of the network or networks that are being monitored, at which the detailed status of the network can be seen, and the necessary software to manage the networks. The network operations center is the focal point for network troubleshooting, software distribution and updating, router and domain name management, performance monitoring, and coordination with affiliated networks.
The Structure Of The Team You Will Join Is
A 16 member team (including the department head) with 02 sub teams
You will be part of a 6-7 member sub-team reporting to a manager
The two (02) main priorities of the team as a whole are:
Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNv4, QoS/CoS, VPLS, VRRP, MPLS)
Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issue
The two (02) specific tasks that team was working on in the last 6 months with results:
3GAAS solution with coordination of MPBN team and handed over to customers
Hot standby network availability in Core and Aggregation network
The three (03) must have past experiences the best candidate should have:
CCNP or CCIE preferred
L2/L3VPNs, ExVLANS, SRX, IPSEC and Traffic Engineering
Traffic marking i.e. CoS / QoS
The two (02) must have technologies the candidate should have:
Dynamic protocols OSPF, ISIS
BGP/MPLS
Essential Skills Must Have
CCNA/CCNP, JNCIP(preferred) Certified
Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issue
