Who are we looking for?We are looking for a strong candidate that empowers our Category Directors in developing the strategy and growth plan for their industry. Category Management is at the heart of the commercial activity in the company and drives the business we do. From the right sellers, over a variety of assortment, the right prices to the right customer fit. Structure in processes and solid data insights are the key to success here. We need structured, analytical thinkers that can build the right structure and identify valuable trends to be translated into actionable advice.

Job Description

  • Get involved in the strategy formulation process of an industry in close collaboration with the Category Director
  • Revamp and enforce task tracking processes for teams across the industry
  • Leverage weekly, monthly & quarterly reporting structures and use the data to set priorities for the business
  • Bring “consultant like perspective” to the businesses
  • Gap analysis on existing performance metrics and structures and build a strategy to scale the industry
  • Work with the Category Director to develop a future outlook of the category and an implementation plan for the chosen strategy
  • Focus on the relevant business metrics, monitor their performance, spot weaknesses and deep-dive into fixing them

Requirements

  • Education: Completed Bachelors or Masters degree
  • 5+ years experience in related field, preferably with a background in engineering, consulting, business analytics and/ or general management
  • Sales/ E-commerce experience if an advantage but not required
  • Language: Excellent English
  • Travel: Occasional travel might be required
  • Good knowledge in project management, superior powerpoint & excel skills are important
  • Detail oriented, highly analytical and structures mindset
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Know how to manage priorities and work with short deadlines
  • Highly adaptable to quick changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to drive and manage cross-functional teams and cross-cultural stakeholders
