Job Purpose
- To contribute towards the growth and profitability of GlaxoSmithKline through processing of tablet, capsules, suspensions and syrup products, in accordance with the QMS, EHS and also to the local legislation, using all the available resources to maximum advantage of the company and customer satisfaction.
- To ensure that all operations carrying out in packaging areas are running in compliance with QMS, EHS and Regulatory policies through people management and leadership.
Educational Requirement
Preferred Level of Education: Masters
Area of Specialisation: Operations Strategy and Management of Service Operations.

Key Responsibilities
- To contribute towards the growth and profitability of GlaxoSmithKline through processing of tablet, capsules, suspensions and syrup products, in accordance with the QMS, EHS and also to the local legislation, using all the available resources to maximum advantage of the company and customer satisfaction.
- To ensure that all operations carrying out in packaging areas are running in compliance with QMS, EHS and Regulatory policies through people management and leadership
- Set objectives and review achievement through workday process.
- Ensure that the products being packaged confirm the standard of quality and GSK standards.
- Ensure that the SOP, GMP and GSK Policies are being strictly followed.
- To report deviations and conduct investigations in order to ensure adherence with quality and compliance with the GSK and Regulatory Standards.
- To support packaging department in production documentation output, request and manage material, recording of production events and receipts, production material issues, production completion and returns, production rework and re-processing, engineering change management and batch document management in reference to Domestic Manufacturing Enterprise Resource Planning (DMERP).
- Identification, evaluation and CAPA implementation in reference to mitigation plan to minimize, monitor, and control the probability or impact of the risk, to maximize the realization of opportunities.
- To participate in the management monitoring and independent business monitoring audits in order to identify the gaps or grey areas, suggest CAPAs in reference to observations and findings and ensure CAPA effectiveness.
- Conduct Risk Assessments as per requirements.
- Support the Manager Production in making the budget, launching of new products and achieving the KPI targets.
- Contribute in maintaining good industrial relations at the site in coordination with production Manager and Industrial Relation function.
- Coordinate with engineering for preventive and break down maintenance of production equipment.
- Foster team spirit and ability of critical thinking, analysis and decision making.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through coaching, mentoring, counseling and in-house training.
- Initiate and facilitate cultural change program to support for desired culture change in GMS Pakistan.
- Maintain good relationship with all supervisory staffs and director and look into the genuine problems of staff and try to resolve them at floor level.
- Take appropriate disciplinary actions in situation going against company’s defined policy.
- Ensure the origination or review of SOPs & BMRs as and when required. Provide in-house trainings of SOPs & BMRs to relevant staff.
